On Thursday 5 November 2026, from 9:00 to 14:00, the Teatro Comunale "Carmine Concistrè" in Cassano all'Ionio will host a public meeting on road safety and a culture of prevention. The morning will bring together local and regional institutions, the Traffic Police and Local Police, school leaders, associations and families of road traffic victims. The programme includes greetings from the institutions, speeches by schools and an open discussion with young people. In Piazza Sandro Pertini, a demonstration area will be set up with the State Police's Pullman Azzurro: training courses, simulations with VR headsets on the risks of alcohol, drugs and smartphone use while driving, demonstrations of rapid saliva tests, ADAS systems and Smart School Zones. The event is organised by A.D.P.S., Associazione Diritti, Prevenzione e Sicurezza, with the free patronage of the Comune di Cassano all'Ionio.
