Castello di Paola
On October 31, the Quartiere Castello of Paola comes alive with "La Notte di Cunti e d'Incanti", an evening dedicated to memory and Calabrian folk traditions. The event evokes the ancient custom of the Benfratelli, with stories, legends and suggestions that transform the castle into a place suspended in time. The program includes a workshop for children, a torchlight procession, a monologue and the evocative funeral procession, which retraces the rites of tradition. There are also food stalls with local specialties such as cuccìa and pasta e ceci, and the evening ends with a DJ set.
