Mimmo Rotella. Monumentale
Complesso Monumentale di San Giovanni, Piazza Garibaldi, Catanzaro
The Complesso Monumentale di San Giovanni in Catanzaro hosts the exhibition "Mimmo Rotella. Monumentale", curated by Alberto Fiz. The exhibition explores the artist's research between the 1980s and 2005, combining décollage with new techniques such as overpaintings, pictorial interventions and metal supports. The itinerary highlights the environmental and public dimension of the image through large-format works, including "Pan Am", "Matrix", "Shaolin" and "Ikarus" (the latter granted by SACAL). The exhibition testifies to the continuous evolution of Rotella's creative language, framed by two symbolic dates: the opening on his birthday (October 8) and the closing on the anniversary of his death (January 7).
