The Sanctuary of the Most Holy Ecce Homo in Mesoraca hosts the new edition of the National Literary Prize "Mesoraca in Festival, Messurga Opera Prima", dedicated exclusively to debut works of Italian fiction. Eight evenings, divided into two blocks (3-6 and 10-13 September 2026), give voice to emerging authors through presentations, meetings and public debates. Each event, starting at 9:00 PM, alternates moments of reading and discussion among writers, critics and readers in an informal atmosphere. Among the guests is singer Anna Rizzo, fresh from Area Sanremo, expected on 5 September. Admission is free.

On Friday, September 11, 2026, the city of Crotone kicks off the XV Shiatsu Week with a conference in the historic Council Chamber "Falcone e Borsellino". Promoted by FISIEO and the ARTOI Foundation, the meeting from 5 to 7 PM brings shiatsu to the forefront, an ancient Japanese manual practice that works on energetic balance and well-being. Practitioners and industry experts will illustrate the principles of the technique and share concrete experiences, showing how this method can be a valuable ally in daily life. The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Crotone and the Calabria Region, is free and open to all citizens.

The fourth edition of the poetry festival “A sud di ogni altrove” enlivens the Castello di Santa Severina in the province of Crotone from September 12 to October 2, 2026. The evenings offer encounters with contemporary poets, readings and moments dedicated to listening, in one of the most charming villages in Calabria. The final event on Friday, October 2 at 5 pm features Fabrizio Bregoli and Luciana Argentino, who alternate with readings and poetic performances. An opportunity to discover new and established voices of Italian poetry in a historical setting.

Initiative called "Prospettive a confronto per il futuro del Centro Storico di Crotone", a debate/meeting to analyze the current state of the historic center and involve administrators, citizens, and stakeholders in a shared vision of development. The program includes speeches by the Mayor, the President of the Order of Engineers, the Councillor for Neighborhoods, and other experts, followed by a debate moderated by the Mayor's Spokesperson. The conclusion is entrusted to Prof. Tommaso Manfredi. The event is held at the "Falcone e Borsellino" Council Chamber of the Municipality of Crotone.

The Dodò Gabriele Association organizes the fifth edition of the "Dodò Gabriele" Award of Merit. The ceremony celebrates the memory of young Dodò by rewarding lawyers who have distinguished themselves for their professional and personal commitment in the search for truth and justice. This year's winners are Vincenza Rando, Fabio Repici, Nicodemo Gentile and Giuseppe Napoli, professionals who have represented families of victims of political and mafia crimes, defended the weakest and protected the rights of the most vulnerable. During the event, the "Barlacchi - Lucifero" Main Hall will be officially named after Dodò Gabriele.

Nato dall'esperienza di #IORESTO, il festival esplora il senso del restare e del costruire nelle aree interne e nel Sud Italia. La prima giornata è dedicata al racconto dei luoghi attraverso cinema e teatro, dando voce alle persone e alla memoria collettiva.
